#NigerianElection results so far: First Elected Female Governor in history of #Nigeria. #Imo and #Abia State Results Inconclusive. #APC Wins #Lagos Despite #Oba of #Lagos Threatening #IGBOS that they will drown in the Lagos #Lagoon.

#LagosState: #APC the incoming Party that won the Presidential Elections with #Major General #Buhari as flag bearer cleaned hands down the Gubernatorial elections.

Even though turn out was low, the electoral commission said on Sunday, that voting was extended in several other states due to violence or voting irregularities.

However, in the state of Lagos, this would actually be the first time the since the Military rule ended in 1999 that the governor of such a key state and the president will be from the same party and in this case, #APC.

APC party's supporters march towards the Independent National Electoral Commission Office in Port Harcourt, Nigeria, calling for the cancellation of elections in the southern oil-rich Rivers State on March 29, 2015
#ImoState: hopefully, we are not doomed to see history repeat itself as INEC has declared the elections inconclusive.

As memory serves us, 4 years ago, the then incumbent, outgoing Governor Ohakim lost the election because results were declared inconclusive and had to be repeated giving his enemies a shot at kicking him out a midst his ongoing fight with the Catholic Church (Arch Bishop Obinna) to be exact because he supposedly slapped a( #Catholic Priest).
With his Ouster, Imolites gladly welcomed #Governor Rochas, popularly known as #Owelle, who came in with big dreams and lots of ideas.

4 years later, #Imo is basically divided  by a bitter fight between the #Catholic Church (again Arch Bishop Obinna) and #APC Rochas's ruling Party... Add that to the anger from the opposition party #PDP who is Represented by Deputy Senator Ihedioha From #Mbaise and even #APGA (who is also fielding a candidate from the Owerri Zone (Capt Ihenacho---Owerri Zone was supposed to produce the governor and Capt Iheancho is actually from #Emekuku the same town as the Arch Bishop)...
It is like a Battle Royal while we poor masses watch and Pray that the winner gets to improve Imo State.

Why are people so angry?  Some say that The current Governor is running the State like a Personal Business or Family Bank Account?  Others in favor point to the new businesses and buildings that he has put up and even roads updating Owerri.

However, several contractors point to unfinished roads and unpaid contracts for roads?  Whatever the real story, it will be an interesting next couple of days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rochas Okorocha

The Independent National Electoral Commission has declared the governorship election in Imo state inconclusive.
According to Mr Ibekwe of Premium times, Due to the number of cancelled votes (144,715) in relation to the margin of win (79,529) by the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Rochas Okorocha, the Returning Officer, Professor Ibidapo Obe, declared the election inconclusive.
He said a new date would be announced for a supplementary election in the cancelled wards spread across several local government areas.
Mr. Okorocha was initially thought to have won the election after he garnered 385,671 votes compared to the 306,142 votes scored by the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Emeka Ihedioha.
The APC candidate is ahead of Mr. Ihedioha by 79,529 votes, which is by far lower than the 144,715 votes cancelled by INEC as a result of irregularities in some wards.
INEC’s verdict on the Imo election is a repeat of what happened in the April 26, 2011 governorship election in the state.
Should Governor Okorocha eventually wins the supplementary election being planned by INEC this time, the APC would have succeeded in holding on to the only state it controls in Nigeria’s South-East geo-political zone.
Three of the remaining states (Enugu, Abia and Ebonyi) in the region are controlled by the PDP while one (Anambra) has remained firmly in the grip of the All Progressives Grand Alliance for more than nine years.

#AbiaState echoes of shouts of election rigging and ballot snatching everywhere by the ruling PDP party, Results so far inconclusive as some ward elections have to be redone.
finally,  Nigerian President Jonathan made history by conceding the presidential election before the final results were announced, winning plaudits for his statesmanship and for defusing the threat of violence.
Information Minister Patricia Akwashiki on Saturday urged candidates in the local polls to follow his example, with previous elections in Nigeria hit by violence.
"If our president was able to walk away from an election and accept defeat, everybody, the winner and the loser, should be able to accept that the people's will is what will carry the day," local media quoted her as saying.
