Texas Hospital is continually defending the poor handling of Mr Duncan's Care and now have a new explanation of why no CPR, or any type of resuscitation was done when his heart stopped beating.
According to the hospital,
“Early in his hospital stay, Mr. Duncan had expressed his wishes to his attending physician that the care team should not perform chest compressions, defibrillation or cardioversion to prolong his life,”
His fiancee Louise Troh said in a statement after his death, that she hopes that a thorough examination will take place regarding all aspects of his care,”
However, I am not sure why his last wishes were not clarified to his family or why mr Duncan gave this last "So called wishes" of no resuscitation to people he didn't know?
